Phlox paniculata 'Sherbet Cocktail'

Phlox p. 'Sherbet Cocktail' is one of the first phlox to have yellow in the petals. In late summer they are topped with many tiny pink flowers that develop a yellow-green edge in dense, rounded flower clusters. To be honest I really thought this was ugly when it first started to open, but each day it got better and I was constantly attracted to it, then finally got a chuckle out of the large flower clusters that really did look like scoops of sherbet.

Height:  28" Spacing:  18 - 24" apart
Light:  Full sun to part shade Soil:  Humus-rich, moist but well-drained
Bloom Time:  Late summer Zones:  4 - 8
