Polemonium 'Touch of Class'

Polemonium 'Touch of Class' (PP#19768) is a beautiful plant for the semi-shaded garden that has pink tinted, green and white foliage in the spring, is covered with masses of sky blue flowers in early summer, and then keeps its variegation all season long. They prefer moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil with some shade from the heat of the day, especially in warmer climates.

This variegated Jacob's ladder has been an excellent grower in our Michigan gardens and growing areas, having over-wintered successfully for years. It is a Polemonium reptans cultivar that is quite cold hardy but doesn't like too much summer heat. Self-sown seedlings are possible but rarely show the same variegation.

Height: 15 - 18" Spacing: 15 - 18" apart
Light: Part sun to part shade Soil: Humus-rich, well-drained
Bloom Time: Early summer Zones: 3 - 7 (8)
