Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Blaue Glocke'

Pulsatilla 'Blaue Glocke' has violet-purple flowers over fern-like foliage in early spring, often just as the snow melts. This variety, German for 'Blue Bells', was selected for its large and deeply colored flowers. Fluffy seed heads rise high above the foliage creating a secondary show in early summer. It makes an excellent border plant and also works great in the rock garden.
